Happy New Year!
100 years ago someone sent this postcard to a friend or family member. So in turn I am bringing life back into this postcard by sharing it again, 100 years later.
Best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful New Year!
After doing a little research I was able to figure out that this post card was sent to Edward Benson of Manchester Connecticut. In 1904 Edward immigrated to the United States from Sweden. When he received the postcard he was single and working at a silk mill, Cheney Brothers. It was sent from Augusta Parson (could be Pierson) – who immigrated to the US in 1908. In 1911 they both became naturalized citizens and in 1917 they married and move to a home at 47 Edgerton Street in Manchester.
