Merry Christmas Eve Eve….

Did you have a busy week? I feel like I have. This week wasn’t too busy with shopping, but just busy with every thing else. The builders guys finally finished the basement drywall and the painting. It looks really good, but I’m still having trouble figuring out how come it took so long. I don’t know about you, but it all started on November 14 and was finished on December 21. Can you figure out how that amount of time equals nine days? May be they were only counting Mondays and Tuesdays…. who knows. At least it is finished, and all that is left to do is the floors and the trim, which we will do on our own.

I’m sitting outside right now while I’m writing this. It’s funny how warm it is here especially just a few days before Christmas. I guess it could be worse and we could be stranded at an airport somewhere waiting on a flight. With things going like they have been lately we decided to stay here for Christmas this year. We had thought about going to NY to visit J’s family for Christmas, but since I only have Christmas Day off, we’ve decided to hold off until sometime after the first of the year when we could have more time to stay and visit…maybe even go snow skiing! Do you think a girl from the South can keep from breaking her legs while skiing? It’s just like water skiing right??? LOL except with snow! For some reason I have a feeling snow may look fluffy, but is really a lot harder than water!

Well it’s a week past graduation….it feels so good not having to work on a paper, read a chapter, or cram for an exam…. whew. J surprised me yesterday with my graduation present. Let me back up… I turned down the first present for all the good reasons. What was the first present? Well…it was this (in black). Oh I know your probably thinking I’m crazy for turning it down, but really….I just don’t want a car payment. We’ve been able to pay off all vehicles, and yes…I’m getting greedy in my old age! LOL, but I did say I’d think about it, and maybe after I get my student loan out of the way I’ll see about getting that sports car. However…he did surprise me! Yesterday he gave me his “plan B” which is a very very very very pretty set of diamond earrings! I just love them to pieces…. and J too!!

Ok…the sun is finally going down and it’s starting to get a little chilly. Time to pack up the laptop and head back inside.
More to come later…
