Verify that your virus scanner is working – Lifehacker
From lifehacker.com: “The EICAR virus test is a harmless text file that is detected as a virus by most AV vendors. You can use it to verify that your local virus scanner is working (just copy the string into a plain text file), check to see if your email server scans for viruses (email yourself a copy), and test if scanners detect viruses inside archives (put it inside a zip file).(lifehacker)”

I gave it a try… could never get past the “saving it as a text file” part, because as soon as I hit save, my virus software caught it, and deleted it. 🙂

Montgomery Biscuits Baseball

Should have known… no rain in almost a month… until tonight.

We had tickets to go watch the Montgomery Biscuits game against the Mobile Bay Bears tonight… that was the plan until the rain started at game time. I would have liked to have watched the game, but considering the grass on our lawn is dead, we really did need the rain. Now if it will just slow rain all night we’ll be set.

Ok… off to watch a little tv, then head to bed. More tomorrow… I promise.

(spoke too soon….it’s already stopped)

If these walls could talk… I’m not sure I would want to hear what they have to say. See all the little blue electrical boxes? These are the extra boxes that have been removed so far. From what our electrician can tell us, it looks like the previous owners had planned on a 10 person office. Each station had access for a phone and a electrical plug. There was even a hookup labeled “Dishwasher”. So… did the previous owner move for a reason? or did their plan on becoming a telemarketing dungeon fall through. Anyway… the extra boxes are out and ‘normal’ outlets have been left for us. So, right now we’re waiting on things to finish up downstairs, then start back up on the insulation. Then the fun begins… hanging drywall, picking out light fixtures, and deciding on what color/design to stain the concrete floors. Oh… guess I better round up a carpenter to redo those stairs too…. work work work… 🙂 Does anyone have a full-size centipede video game for sale??? How about a pool table?
