Not much going on around here today. We took Cat, our 10 yr old dog, down to the vets office for her yearly check-up. That it self is a adventure on its own..she pretty much hyperventilates when she gets in the car..add to that a substitute vet that was filling in today. She didn’t take kindly to a stranger poking at her.
Back home then I was off to sell one of my books from last semester to a friend thats taking the class this semester. She was excited to get a deal, considering I bought the book new, and sold it to her for $40 less than what she could buy it used for at the bookstore. I still came out good..I found it new on Half.com for only $5 more (and that was with shipping too!) . Then we were off to get a little lunch. She drove into town, so I thought it would be nice to get some lunch before she does her hour and 15 minute drive back home. I really don’t see how she does it..thats a lot of driving, especially when you have classes 4 days a week. Makes me feel good to only be 15 – 20 minutes away. After lunch we walked down to Cato’s to see what was on sale. Last night I was watching ‘What Not to Wear’ and thought I’d try to find me more ‘Age Appropriate’ clothing..LOL I found a few things.. one outfit I want to wear when J takes me out tonight. I think we’re going down to Montgomery Brewing Co (aka The Brew Pub) for dinner and get me a Riverboat Red Ale, oh and don’t forget the crab claws. I can’t remember the last time we were there (no I wasn’t drunk! LOL) but its been a while. The Brew Pub used to be the only place to get draft beer around here (because it is a Microbrewery and in a historic building..weird law but a reason why they were allowed to sell it). Once the county passed the new laws allowing the sale of draft we stopped going.
Well since I’m feeling a little chilly I think I’m going to go wrap up on the couch and see what’s on tv for a bit…maybe this sore throat I feel coming on will start feeling better. I really can’t get sick now and I’ve done so good fighting off the colds that G and J caught over Christmas.
