Guess what?

Guess what? We did it.. did what? Remember our trip to the realtor? We finally gave the go ahead on the house purchase! Now we have to wait on the inspection to be completed. I talked to the realtor earlier.. caught up on all the estimates and to see where we stand. I told J what she said, and that he should call her and talk to her, to make sure we’ve both getting the same information. Yep.. if the inspection goes well and no big problems show up (like a family of raccoons living in the attic) or bad plumbing, we should be signing all the paper soon!

Last night J suggested we go check out a new place to eat close to the new house. Hey.. gotta find new things close by right? Then after dinner he suggested, “Let’s go drive by the house… we need to see what its like up there at night.” Sounds good to me.. who know, maybe the quiet little neighborhood gets rowdy after dark or something. We turned off the highway and wow!!! deer in the yard, deer in the road, deer in the neighbors yards! She wasn’t kidding about the deer! She had mentioned that the deer cross the property to get to the lake for water, and I was only expecting to see one or two on occasion, not a whole herd! Anyone know of a good place to buy deer corn in bulk?

The whole area out there was quiet..dark.. and the sky full of stars too! It’s amazing how different the night sky becomes when your away from all the city lights. J’s jazzed about that too, especially with his new telescope.

Soon the fun part comes: packing, moving, unpacking, and getting this house ready to sell or rent. Did I mention that I have finals the week we hope to close on the house?

Check out this photo too! Aerial View

Can you tell I’m excited!??

The Da Vinci Code

coverThe De Vinci Code

Book Description
While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum. Near the body, police have found a baffling cipher. While working to solve the enigmatic riddle, Langdon is stunned to discover it leads to a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci – clues visible for all to see – yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

Langdon joins forces with a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, and learns the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion – an actual secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Botticelli, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci, among others.

In a breathless race through Paris, London, and beyond, Langdon and Neveu match wits with a faceless powerbroker who seems to anticipate their every move. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle in time, the Priory’s ancient secret – and an explosive historical truth – will be lost forever.

Long Day

Today we slept in before heading over to the realtor’s office.. we actually submitted a bid on our favorite house. Last word from the agent came a few minutes ago… we will know something Monday after 3pm, when the owner stops by to talk to our agent.
(Keeping my fingers crossed!)

I hope you didn’t forget to set your clocks back an hour!
